Order MY Steps

Verse of the Day: Psalm 37:23 King James Version (KJV)

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”

The Lord delights in us when we walk in His ways. I don’t know about you, but I want the Lord to be pleased in my ways, to delight in me. Order my steps in your word Lord, Amen! I want to please God, do you? God puts in our hearts this desire to please Him when we turn our lives over to Him so that He can order our steps.

What should my life look like if my steps are ordered by God? We know that when we walk in the spirit, we will not delight in our flesh. Our lives in Christ look to Jesus!

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus because they are walking IN Him and not living of themselves, but selfless. It is a life of outward focus on loving others as you love yourself. When we walk in love after the Spirit of God, we fulfill righteousness.

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

There is this war in ourselves to walk in the spirit. It’s a war between our spiritual self and our earthly self and it’s a constant battle we all face. We have to make a choice every day, every moment to choose God over our own self and walk in the spirit.

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Sin should no longer have dominion over us. For we serve the Lord Jesus. We have power in the Lord to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might to overcome this world and our earthly desires of disobedience. We must choose to walk in Him by faith.

Psalm 84:2

“My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”

How blessed we would be to have this in our minds. A longing, a yearning, our flesh crying out for God, is supernatural. It is second nature until we condition ourselves to walk therein. A good man longs to be in the presence of God and in His word he meditates day and night.

Let us press forth with the desire to see the Lord TODAY! Build HIS house and watch Him pour out a spiritual blessing that will overflow into your natural circumstances. Amen!

Walk In the Spirit,

1 John 2:16
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
