A Good Servant of
Jesus Christ
…exercise yourself
toward godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profits a little,
but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now
is and of that which is to come…
Sometimes when we eat, we crave a little more so
we put more food on the plate. Today is one of those days and a sign of growth
spiritually! The word of God is food for our souls, Amen! But watch out! When you begin to grow spiritually is when the attack gets real! Be careful, remember what you read, apply it, and use God's word. It's a weapon!
We begin Colossians in day 17. As I read chapter
1 and seen the words “bearing fruit”, I began to think about a dream I had
about bearing fruit. I’ve had several but one of them stood out the most.
There was a large harvest of vegetables and the
father told the son, “Good job thy good and faithful servant!” There was money brought
from the harvest. There were 2 different vegetables and the son said one was
good and one was bad. I told him to cut the bad one up, fry it, and see if it
was any good. The son, Brandon was his name, said “No, it’s not ready yet!” You

We need to be ready in season and out of season
because we never know when God can use us and we need to make the most of every
opportunity, Amen!
I like that Colossians jumps right in with
prayer and what to pray for. We are even given the reasons why we should pray
for these things.
“We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will
through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that
you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might
so that you may have great endurance and
patience”
I pray now Lord fill us with
that knowledge and all wisdom so that we can please you and bear much fruit for
we know if we are connected to the vine we will bear much fruit. God desires us
to bear good fruit and bear much fruit for His kingdom with endurance and
patience. Without Christ we can do nothing but with Christ we can do all
things. Let us move forward in the power of God and His amazing Spirit.
Read through the supremacy of the
Son of God in verses 15-23. It blesses me to know He is who He says He is and
much more. Never give up! Never lose faith! Keep Striving! Keep your eyes on
the prize! JESUS! Amen!
