We are more than half way through our challenge, but hopefully this challenge is producing a habit that will reap a character and lifestyle change to feed off the word of God everyday. I have surely been blessed and the time I spend with God is increasing and prayer is increasing. Amen! Everyday I see more and more how neglecting to go to the word and meditate on these truths, will actually cause you to shrink in your spiritual walk with God!

Today is day 20! Colossians 4 is short and sweet and continues where it left off in chapter 3 about our attitudes and our positions. We should be serving God in everything we do.

The verses that speak loudly to me from this chapter are these:

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Those who are without the word are lost. They look at us and make a preconception about who God’s people are and how they operate. If we are walking uprightly we have nothing to be ashamed of. The lord says to walk wisely and let what you say be with grace and salt. We are the salt of this world, but if the salt loses its flavor, how can it be salted? How can you show others the way, the truth, and the life?

Let’s continue in the faith, upholding the kingdom, being united and ignited through the word of God, Amen!
