30 Day Spiritually Fit Bible Challenge—DAY 6




Bible Reference:

1 Timothy 4:6-11

 

A Good Servant of Jesus ChristIf you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,[a] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

 

Glorry to God for day 6! We’re still tuning in to God’s Word TV without the TV just the bible, Amen! You can find previous posts here. Walking in the spirit takes effort, takes time, and takes diligence, but God is ever there drawing us near. Will we draw near to him today?

 

Today what is hitting home is gentleness, bearing each other’s burdens, sowing to the spirit, not growing weary, and boasting only in the Lord! Amen!

Ephesians 5:26-27

26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

The word of God makes us holy and cleanses us getting rid of all flesh and sin when we activate it in our lives.

Ephesians 6:17


New International Version (NIV)

17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The word of God is our offense. We can fight the enemy in our wilderness experiences with the word of God!

16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

It is the word the Of life!

Colossians 3:16

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

The word of God brings wisdom and joy!

13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

It is the word of God and it WORKS! Amen!

(1)  Faith comes by hearing, and  hearing by the word of God

 

(2)  Without Faith it is impossible to please God

 

(3)  Faith without works is dead
