30 Day Spiritually Fit Bible Challenge

1 Timothy 4:6-11

A Good Servant of Jesus Christ

If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,[a] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

There are all kinds of challenges I see on Facebook for bodily exercise and I’ve tried a few, though never finished unfortunately. But as God began to speak to me about the importance of His words, and I began to do a word study on why we need the word of God, I thought of this challenge.

Now, for a little back ground I want to start with my word study. I am going to first give us all reason to make this 30 day bible challenge real in our lives and give us good reason to do it and finish the race. As the scripture says above, “For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.  This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.”

So, let’s get started seeking God and His righteousness TODAY! See if God don’t give you an overflow of his spirit that you cannot even contain yourself. Try God in this and watch that spirit man grow strong in the Lord and the power of his might. Every day I will give you 5 reasons to dig in the word of God.

I like that this verse gives us more than what we see in Matthew 4:4. We see in the spiritual that we can grow hungry in the spirit and going to church and reading a bible verse here and there is not enough to keep us from being hungry. But every word that comes from God keeps us alive and gives us the nourishment to live and go on. Don’t grow weary in well doing brothers and sisters! Amen!

All who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved, Amen! But how can we call if we do not know who to call or what to call on Him for? If we do no hear God’s word, how can we know who He is?

Friends, let me leave you with this…our 30 day challenge closing:

(1)  Faith comes by hearing, and  hearing by the word of God

(2)  Without Faith it is impossible to please God

(3)  Faith without works is dead
