30 Day Spiritually Fit Bible Challenge—DAY 2

A Good Servant of Jesus Christ
If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,[a] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus shines from within us? He is the word! He is the light making our paths straight, halleluyah!

God’s word helps to keep us from sin. No wonder why the devil try to keep us from reading our bibles!

Isaiah 55:10-11

and making it bud and flourish,
    so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

God’s word is like good seed being sown into our hearts. It will do what God purposes it to do.

17 Sanctify them by[a] the truth; your word is truth.
 Sanctification…the generic definition below is pretty awesome.
“The generic meaning of sanctification is "the state of proper functioning." To sanctify someone or something is to set that person or thing apart for the use intended by its designer. A pen is "sanctified" when used to write. Eyeglasses are "sanctified" when used to improve sight. In the theological sense, things are sanctified when they are used for the purpose God intends. A human being is sanctified, therefore, when he or she lives according to God's design and purpose.” ---BibleStudyTools.com

Friends, let me leave you with this…our 30 day challenge closing:

(1)  Faith comes by hearing, and  hearing by the word of God

(2)  Without Faith it is impossible to please God

(3)  Faith without works is dead
