Speak Over Yourself
Speak Over Yourself
Deuteronomy 28:13New International Version (NIV)13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow(A) them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
I want to begin the discussion this week about speaking over yourself. Do you believe in the power of our words? Do you believe as a man thinks, so is he? Do you believe that the word of God is powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword? If not, then you don't believe the word of God!
How many times have you spoke something literally into existence? I know I have both positive and negative and its time to start speaking LIFE over ourselves rather than death.
Proverbs 18:21New King James Version (NKJV)

Proverbs 18:21New King James Version (NKJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
It's about time we get rid of this pessimistic world view and take on a truly God view which is always optimistic looking to nothing but the best of you!
Proverbs 23:7King James Version (KJV)
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Hebrews 4:12The Message (MSG)
12-13 God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.

It's time to open ourselves up to God's word and speak LIFE over ourselves. When we begin to speak God's word over our lives, we will begin to manifest the very things we speak.
Isaiah 55:11King James Version (KJV)11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Do you see the power of our words and activating God's word in our mouths? Let the meditations of our heart, our thoughts and our words, be acceptable in God's Sight!

All is Well in His Presence
All is Well in His Presence
Hello, I've been mighty absent going through a season of rebellion but God once again has led me back to His path of righteousness. Praise God! May I always stay in His presence! Today I want to give you a testimony of how dwelling in the presence and wisdom of God can save your relationships and your character. All is well in His presence!
We are a living witness of Jesus in the earth. A vessel to be used for His glory. The devil, is seeking to devour our character, our family, our relationships to kill them and destroy them, but its up to us to get in the presence of God.
This week, I began to wake up and purposely seek the Lord. To start my day in Him and build myself up on truth, so that I can be able to stand in His power. Today started off very challenging, but thank God for His word which was already permeating my mind and molding my character to be more like Christ.
Before I get into today's testimony I want to tell a Christ story.
John 13:1-17The Message (MSG)
3-6 Jesus knew that the Father had put him in complete charge of everything, that he came from God and was on his way back to God. So he got up from the supper table, set aside his robe, and put on an apron. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the feet of the disciples, drying them with his apron. When he got to Simon Peter, Peter said, “Master, you wash my feet?”
7 Jesus answered, “You don’t understand now what I’m doing, but it will be clear enough to you later.”
8 Peter persisted, “You’re not going to wash my feet—ever!”
Jesus said, “If I don’t wash you, you can’t be part of what I’m doing.”
9 “Master!” said Peter. “Not only my feet, then. Wash my hands! Wash my head!”
10-12 Jesus said, “If you’ve had a bath in the morning, you only need your feet washed now and you’re clean from head to toe. My concern, you understand, is holiness, not hygiene. So now you’re clean. But not every one of you.” (He knew who was betraying him. That’s why he said, “Not every one of you.”) After he had finished washing their feet, he took his robe, put it back on, and went back to his place at the table.
12-17 Then he said, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You address me as ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master,’ and rightly so. That is what I am. So if I, the Master and Teacher, washed your feet, you must now wash each other’s feet. I’ve laid down a pattern for you. What I’ve done, you do. I’m only pointing out the obvious. A servant is not ranked above his master; an employee doesn’t give orders to the employer. If you understand what I’m telling you, act like it—and live a blessed life.
Now for my testimony. I was challenged by my husbands reaction to a situation with our children that caused me to react, correct, and reflect. At first my reaction caused my husband to react. Obviously I didn't choose the right reaction and could have done better. I realized this, allowed God to correct me, and then I began to reflect. I was still being attacked on every side, but thank God for His word, I kept it playing in my ears. I cried because I felt defeated, I felt broken, I felt misunderstood, and I wanted to retaliate but I knew if I did, Christ was not in it and the devil would have the victory. So I Just continued to call on the name of Jesus and listen to the word being ministered to me.
The heat got hotter, I cried more, I prayed more. I called out to a friend because, for me, its just so hard to keep my mouth shut it hurts. Am I the only one with my hand up here? Then I hear in my spirit, Wash His feet. So I began to prepare my mind to be a servant, like Jesus, in the midst of feeling betrayed.
In this, God showed me that we need to be broken so that he can make us new and that Love covers a multitude of sins. God is continually fashioning us to be better, refining us through the fire, and we have to recognize the trials and know that in Christ we have the victory. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. At first my husband refused to let me wash his feet, but I was persistent until he yielded his will to God's will and said yes. Even our children saw this example not even knowing I was paving the way for Christ-likeness and they too wanted a piece of the action.
When I was done with his feet, he in turn asked me if he could do mine. Jesus got the victory in me and my husband. By me, the wife, submitting to God's will to serve my husband in love, with a soft answer, and with a faithful heart, God used my actions to turn my husband back to me. If I continue modeling this behavior, it will also turn him back to Christ as well as my children. I believe! God is able through me to save this house! In Jesus' name, Amen!
What I learned today?
1. We have the ability to overcome through Jesus!
2. Think your actions forward. Meaning to think how your action will affect your future and the future of those around you that you influence.
3. Our adult habit shape our children's habits.
4. Kindness kills adversity.
5. In his presence there is fullness of Joy. Jesus will work it out!
6. Don't give up you will reap a harvest if you faint not.
How is God using situations in your life to turn YOU around?
Washing His Disciples’ Feet
13 1-2 Just before the Passover Feast, Jesus knew that the time had come to leave this world to go to the Father. Having loved his dear companions, he continued to love them right to the end. It was suppertime. The Devil by now had Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot, firmly in his grip, all set for the betrayal.3-6 Jesus knew that the Father had put him in complete charge of everything, that he came from God and was on his way back to God.
